Our new portal enabling business to connect with hidden talent is entering its next phase, as our latest video explains.
Across every industry, in mid-2022, finding and hiring the right people remains a key issue for every Australian employer.
Over the past year, Jobsbank’s Digital and Innovation team has been building a new web portal designed specifically to match employers with “hidden talent” – jobseekers whose skills may be overlooked on traditional employment platforms due to systemic barriers.
This member-only platform, made with software developed by the social enterprise Gateway2Talent, is now up and running.
A few days before launch, the Jobsbank and Refugee Talent teams caught up in Melbourne at the Abbotsford Convent and talked on camera about the shared journey.
Inclusion Hub has been designed to help employers engage with the Social Procurement Framework, meaningfully and sustainably.
Sixteen Supplier Partners and ten Employers have entered the ecosystem in this trial period, and the team is currently monitoring interactions and outcomes.
Inclusion Hub FAQ
Why did you create Inclusion Hub?
To help priority jobseekers get access to employment opportunities, and support employers seeking to meet Social Procurement and Diversity and Inclusion targets.
Is Inclusion Hub an open platform?
Inclusion Hub is only accessible to employers committed to inclusive employment and referral organisations representing specific communities.
I’m an Employment Services Partner. Will other service providers be able to see or access the jobseekers I represent?
Only you and the Inclusion Hub admin have access to your candidates’ information. Candidates are visible to employers; however, the platform deidentifies each candidate, and the employer gets access to their information once they have progressed in the job pipeline.
I’m looking for staff. Will other employers be able to see me and my job ads?
Only you are only visible to supplier partners who act as intermediaries through the platform to ensure candidates and employers receive any necessary support required.
How does the skill matching happen?
When employers provide job opportunities on the platform, they are matched with appropriate candidates by Inclusion Hub. Employers can also source and screen candidates based on skills and attributes that align with their organisation’s objectives. Referral organisations (such as Employment Service Providers) can also view jobs and recommend suitable candidates.
