Jobsbank is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Board Chair, Claire Ferres Miles.
Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role; as the former CEO of Sustainability Victoria and Interim CEO of the City of Melbourne, she has held executive roles in State and Local Government, Transport for London, and the private sector.
Claire’s work has led to significant achievements in affordable housing, sustainability, transport, planning and community engagement – work that will stand her in good stead for the complex landscape of inclusive employment and social procurement. She has been recognised as an IPAA Victorian Fellow and a ‘Top 50 Woman in the Victorian Public Sector’.
Commenting on her appointment, Claire said, “‘I am passionate about for-purpose organisations that deliver positive impact for people and communities, and so I am thrilled to be appointed Chair of Jobsbank. Knowing that jobs change people’s lives, Jobsbank is an exciting organisation with a pivotal role in supporting business to achieve inclusive workplaces and impactful social procurement outcomes.

It’s challenging work, but we are determined to use our skills, knowledge, research and expertise to get it right.”
Davis also acknowledged Acting Chair Sam Sondhi for his leadership and ongoing support. “Sam’s commitment and contribution have been invaluable during this critical period – the Board and I would like to extend heartfelt thanks on behalf of the whole organisation.”
