Jobsbank is delighted to congratulate Australia’s 2021 Champion Employer of the Year, Angie’s Domestic Duties https://angiesdomesticduties.com.au/.

The award was announced at the National Employment Services Association’s https://nesa.com.au/ Gala Awards Dinner in Canberra on the 8th June and presented by Jobsbank CEO Corinne Proske (appearing remotely due to Melbourne’s COVID-19 restrictions) and NESA CEO Sally Sinclair.

After starting her Toowoomba-based business in 2014, Angela Brown now employs almost 50 staff, many of whom are people living with disabilities or who have faced barriers to finding work in the past.

Accepting the trophy in Canberra, Angela said “This award means the world to me because it reflects the importance of giving people a chance to shine, and an opportunity to fulfil a fundamental right: that everybody deserves meaningful employment.”

Sharing the stage with Angela on the night were representatives from co-finalists Sodexo https://au.sodexo.com and ISS https://www.au.issworld.com/.

Sodexo received a nomination from at Work Australia for their ongoing work with Indigenous job seekers, and ISS were nominated by Enterprise & Training Company (ETC) for outstanding onboarding and employee support services.

Jobsbank is thrilled to sponsor the Champion Employer of the Year Award, which recognises employers who create sustainable opportunities to some of Australia’s most disadvantaged job seekers.
